Shawarma King & More

Came here right after a long whale watching trip nearby and this place seriously hit the spot! It’s inside a mart at a gas station (easy to miss), but don’t let that stop you the food is super flavorful, fresh, and halal. I had the shawarma and it was packed with flavor, juicy, and satisfying.And off course Philly cheesesteak reviews were so good so had to try that, So worth trying!! Staff was friendly took us 15mins to get the order.

Wow ! Amazing food ! I was driving by to facility and saw this place . Order delivery . I order beef lamb shawarma which was amazzzing ! Also I order Philly cheese steak which was amazing too! And regular fries ( crispy and super yummy!) It is really hidden gem ! Absolutely recommend to everyone!

An absolute hole in the wall. Do not let the fact that this restaurant is located in a Chevron fool you. Coming from an individual with the highest expectations, I was quite skeptical and almost left without walking in. Seeing that the reviews were at an impeccable 4.8 stars, I decided to give it a try. I was greeted by some of the nicest individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I ordered a chicken shawarma plate, and decided to eat at a near by beach. The food was so amazing I went back a second time the next day. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice and the basmati rice complemented it beautifully. Complete 10/10- do not miss this!

Don’t let the gas station location fool you — this place is amazing. The food is fresh, full of flavor, and the portions are generous. The baklava was spot on. The family that runs it is so friendly and genuinely cares about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I've been here a handful of times and have tried several of their dishes, and everything has tasted so delicious! The chicken shawarma is extremely yummy and goes well on fries, in a wrap, or even just a plate of it (pictured on the post). I haven't decided on a favorite dish because everything I've had is just so good! The food has a lot of flavor and spice. The staff are also very welcoming and nice, we love men who can cook! There also isn't a long wait time, at least the times I've gone. I'll definitely be going back for more, It's the only reason I go to Castroville.

From start to finish fantastic. Welcoming, generous & warm. Customizations and options for spice which is so helpful for varying palettes. My husband and I were born in Detroit and grew up with the privilege of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern/Greek cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our order of a chicken shawarma wrap. Full of flavor & wrapped super well. We also had some of THE best fries in the county. We will be back.

This place is five by five! I had never had shawarma before - and who would’ve thought that my home town of Castroville would be the place to start?!! I had wondered why the gang violence and criminal activity had diminished in the XIV and now I have the answer: Shawarma King! First off, I can’t say enough how personable and friendly the staff were. I asked for recommendations and they knocked it out of the park! They also gave me a free dessert! The food was beyond delicious and I cannot wait to go back again and again and again and try everything on their menu. Did I mention the prices? They have awesome prices considering the current capitalistic overrun! My wife and I literally shared a wrap for $14. And we both were full. Also picked up a side of falafel for the mother in law. Snuck one myself and was blown away. Here’s to the awesome staff at Shawarma King and the food they serve that are keeping criminals and gang members pacified and happy!

Amazing shawarma plate! And Luqman gave us some homemade baklava for free, everything was 10/10. Amazing food, great hospitality. Would definitely come again!
